Soft Matter Research:

Read in detail by clicking here. Let’s imagine, we have a mixture of oil (red) and water (blue) molecules inside a box. Can we find the equilibrium configuration of these molecules? Can we find what happens if we tune these particles by adding ions, or introducing external magnetic field?  Answering similar exciting questions is the current focus of my research in the area of Soft Matter. Using computers helps find solutions to such problems and my work most times involve finding smart methods and algorithms. However, Some other times I use the created algorithms to understand the physics of molecular systems. Apart from feeding the curiosity, quite a lot of applications arise from such a research work.  (See publications)

Fluid Dynamics Research:

Fluid dynamics is a beautiful branch of science that studies fluid in motion. Most of my research work involves understanding turbulence in such fluid flows. To know more click here.
